Maple Knoll Village, a continuing of care retirement community, located in Springdale, OH, is seeking a full time Sous Chef.  The primary purpose of your job is to provide residents, guests and staff with attractive, nutritionally balanced and satisfying meals under high standards of sanitation and to operate within the budget for the department following established policies and procedures.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Supervising Kitchen Personnel
  • Reviews menus, spreadsheets and recipes prior to preparation of food
  • Maintain the standard recipe file
  • Assures that staff complete necessary forms as required, i.e. temperature sheets, daily sanitation sheets, FACT reports, etc.
  • Inspects food and supply storage area for upkeep, sanitation standards and supply control
  • Assists in implementing and maintaining an ongoing quality assurance program for the Food Service Department

The ideal candidate must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma.  Registration as a Certified Dietary Manager is preferred.  Must have two years experience in a supervisory capacity in a Food Service setting.
